Control Stick play

A number of Bearhawk builders had noted an (annoyingly) high amount of control stick play in the fore-aft axis.

The play appears to come mostly from the welded tube in the lower portion of the control stick that carries the hinge bolt for the lateral (roll) control and is due to a small size difference between the ID of the tube and the OD of a standard bolt.

One solution is to fit a slightly oversize OD bolt. I used a NAS bolt in mine and it removed most of the play immediately, to the point that I no longer notice it.
